NATURAL MAKEUP, FRENCH GIRL STYLE.
Us French girls are not as low maintenance as we pretend to be (yup, here we go, I said it). We also spend a significant amount of time in the bathroom, even if we love to pretend we don't care and that we get ready in 5 minutes tops without putting much effort into it. #iwokeuplikethis (#ornot)
Natural makeup IS a makeup that takes pretty much as long as any other makeup, if not longer.
What French girls love too, is a lot of skincare and moisturizing (masks, serums, scrubs, SPFs moisturizers) to have a healthy glow, and good basics: concealer, mascara, lip balm, and a good terracotta in summer.

I don’t believe in wearing a lot of make up. I prefer a fresh clean skin that breathes and a little bit of mascara. However, I’ve been playing a little bit with a couple of red lipsticks to add a touch of pop to my looks…
Mixing new discoveries with some skincare staples. When Fall comes, I always get back to a more hydrating skincare routine to prepare my skin for winter. I’ve recently discovered Context Skin, an emerging beauty brand that focuses on unisex skincare. Beauty products that I can finally share with my boyfriend? Yes, please!
Being in full denial that summer is almost over, I'm just going to keep spritzing some summer scents all the way through fall and winter.
If you guys know me, I don't wear a lot of makeup, mainly because I'm always running late in the morning and that with limited time to get ready, I'd rather focus on skincare rather than makeup….
One of the most recent additions to my bathroom cabinet is this facial oil from Herbivore Botanicals. It's perfect to apply at night before going to bed…
Wanted to share with you guys some favorite haircare products I've been using, and that really work in helping me keep my long hair healthy.
Still more and more into beauty and self care these past couple months. Here are the 6 products I've been using almost everyday for the past year, so definitely recommend them...

One of the habits I've gotten into since moving to NYC, is getting a mani pedi from time to time. It's super relaxing and every time I do it, I feel like I have my life together. I'm definitely higher maintenance than when I was living in Paris but I don't do it that often as it gets quite pricy. I keep it as a ma'self treat and for special occasions. Here below are some of my fave spots in NYC, all with an affordable price point.
Who knows how many clichés there are about French girls. But french pharmacy skincare isn't one. I grew up with my mum using La Roche-Posay, Avène and Klorane products. Here's a selection of my favorite french pharmacy products.
